What is audit protection?

Audit protection is an optional add-on you can buy when booking your FORS audit.
If you don’t pass first time and need a follow-up audit, the follow-up is free.

By purchasing audit protection upfront, it costs less than paying for a follow‑up audit separately if you need one.

Without audit protection, you would have to pay the full audit fee again.

How it works

  1. Add audit protection when you book your Bronze audit or apply for Silver or Gold.
  2. Complete your audit or submission as normal.
  3. If you do not pass and need a follow-up:
    • Request your follow-up in the same way as your original booking.
    • Your follow-up audit will be free of charge.
  4. Audit protection covers one follow-up audit.

Audit protection is offered as a fixed fee.
You’ll see the full price during your audit booking before you check out.

Audit protection – Terms and Conditions 

  • Audit protection only covers you for one follow‑up audit.
  • After an audit is booked, the audit type can’t be changed, this includes switching from a regular audit to audit protection. If you need a different option, you’ll need to cancel and rebook.
  • No refund is due if you pass your audit and do not require the follow‑up audit.
  • Audit protection does not cover a full re‑audit.
    A full re‑audit is required if you fail by 16 or more major action points. In this case, the audit protection element will be refunded.
  • To use your free follow‑up audit, you must book and complete it within 30 days of notification that you have failed your audit.
    If you do not undertake within 30 days, a full audit will be required, and audit protection will no longer apply.
  • For all cancellations, standard cancellation and amendment terms apply to the audit.
